Opened in 1994, the Butte-Silver Bow Detention Center is situated in the City of Butte in Silver Bow County. The exact location is 155 West Quartz Street, Butte, MT. The center operates all year round with a workforce of five civilian staff and 27 detention officers. The detention center is situated in the southwestern part of Montana. The medium-security facility holds adult male and female offenders but not house juvenile offenders. Most of the offenders are waiting for trial.
